'Tis the season for vinyl!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Okay, not really. It was 70 degrees the other day. In December. Really? Are we in the right hemisphere? Oh well, we won't let that bring us down. Come on out this weekend and load up on some vinyl gifts for your friends and family (or yourself!). Lots of new stuff brought in the last couple of weeks, including a couple of nice jazz collections. All sorts of discounts, of course. We're starting to run out of room. Gotta move stuff out!

October Warehouse Sale

This month's warehouse sale will be on Saturday October 20th. We will be there from 9:00AM 'til 3:00PM. Loads of goodies. You should check it out. No, really.

Just to remind you, we are now located at 700 Albion Ave., Schaumburg, IL. If you go to the old location the new tenants will just look at you very strangely.

Hello Vinyl Friends,

It has been eleven different kinds of crazy these last few months, but here we are ready to do it again.  Our friends at Cornerstone Used Books in Villa Park have done a great job of making vinyl available during normal retail hours.  But now it's time to tie one on tomorrow (Saturday August 18th) at our warehouse. 

We have scored some amazing records over the past few months.  Anyone that made it

out to the June sale saw the first half of the killer psych/garage/classic rock collection.  We made it through the rest and have the final 500 LPs to offer up.  Lots of killer stuff that you just don't see everyday across all genres.  From Ramones to Zappa, Bo Diddley to Buddy Holly, Floyd to Zeppelin. Lots of Psych, Jazz, New Wave, Classic Rock etc.

We finally got around to pricing a bunch of better 45s and all warehouse inventory $10 or under is HALF OFF!

Warehouse sale!

People have been asking. We can finally tell.  Our next warehouse sale (the first at the new location) will be on Saturday June 23rd, from 9AM 'til 3:00PM. We've acquired some nice collections in the past few weeks.  You'll definitely want to come and check 'em out.  We'll have a few thousand new records since the last sale for you to peruse. Lots of nice rock and jazz. And other fun stuff, of course.

The sale will be at 700 Albion Ave. in Schaumburg.  Look for the Ink Well Printing sign out front.  Park in the rear and enter from that way as well.

It will be good to see everyone again.  We have missed hanging with our vinyl friends!

The Vinyl Has Landed!

Just a quick heads up to let you know that we just dropped off a heaping load of records by our friends at Cornerstone Used Books in Villa Park. A bunch of great Classic Rock, New Wave and Alternative. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Frank Zappa, The Smiths/Morrissey,...all sorts of goodies. So get on over to 22 S. Villa Ave. (the SW corner of Villa Ave. and St. Charles Rd.) and snatch them up before they're gone. And they will go quick!

The fine folks at Cornerstone have been kind enough to let us make their store a second home for Cheap Kiss Records. Of course you can still shop online at cheapkissrecords.com. We'll be happy to ship records out to you. Or you can place your order online and pick up your order at our Schaumburg warehouse. But we like flipping through record bins as much as the next guy. So for those that like to do that as well, we suggest you check out CKR@Cornerstone. They are open weekdays from 10:00 AM 'til 6:00 PM, and from 9:00 AM 'til 5:00 PM on Saturdays (closed Sundays). We have a couple of thousand LPs there at the moment. If reaction is good we will be adding more.

We are still going to have our warehouse sales (next one is scheduled for the end of June, exact date to be announced soon), but in between those we will be running inventory on over to Cornerstone. This will give you the opportunity to pick up some goodies more frequently than every two months. And during more normal business hours. So please do check it out. They are super nice people over there. And they have a TON of books. So if you're also into reading, you'll be in hog heaven.

Record Store Day 2012 Update

Just a quick note to let you know that we will NOT be participating in Record Store Day this year.  Still settling into the new digs.  Still replenishing inventory from the last sale.  We want our next warehouse sale  (the first at the new location) to be off the charts good.  So we will be holding out until June.

Good luck tracking down the special RSD releases.  And keep supporting your local record stores!

"Some times I just want to go back..."

Gotta love Schaumburg.  Malls, restaurants, car dealers, minor league baseball...what more do you need?  Oh yeah...a record store!  We're workin' on it!

Not sure when the next warehouse sale will be.  We may skip the usual April one and hold off until June.  That way we'll have lots of new stuff to share with you guys.  In the meantime, don't forget you can stop by our friends at Cornerstone Used Books.  We have a couple of thousand records over there.  We try to change them out frequently, so if you haven't been there in awhile, stop on by!

Goodbye Addison...

...hello, Schaumburg!  The move is complete.  Four long days.  But we survived.

It's going to take a bit of time to settle into the new environs.  We'll keep you posted on when the next warehouse sale will be.  We're hoping for April.  Fingers crossed!

Thanks to everyone that came out to our February warehouse sale.  It was a smashing success!  And a special thank you to all of you who donated to the Love Hope Strength Foundation.  Your generosity was quite touching.

If you've been following us you'll know that this was our last sale at our Addison location.  We're loading up the UHaul at the end of the month and heading to Schaumburg.  We've had a great time in Addison.  And we're sure those good times will continue in Schaumburg.  We'll keep you posted and let you know when the next warehouse sale will be.

In the meantime, keep checking CheapKissRecords.com.  We're adding inventory almost daily.  As a matter of fact, just added some Ramones, Clash, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and Buckingham Nicks.  Better get on over there before they're gone!

Our next warehouse sale is just around the corner. Saturday February 11th to be exact. And we have something special lined up. Besides the usual assortment of vinyl that will be on sale for as much as 50% off, we will be hosting a special charity event. We've come up with a great way for you to add to your record collection and also a great way for us all to give back a little bit. For a suggested $10 donation (you can give more if you like) you will receive a mystery box of approximately 100 LPs (these will come from our $1 bulk records). The monies collected from the "mystery box" promotion will be donated to the Love Hope Strength Foundation. LHSF bills itself as “The Leading Rock ‘n’ Roll Cancer Foundation”. LHSF builds and supports cancer centers around the world, registers people for the international marrow donor lists, and raises awareness of global cancer needs. LHSF was co-founded by Mike Peters, singer for ‘80s rockers The Alarm, who is a cancer survivor himself.

And as you may have heard, this is going to be the last sale at our Addison location. We shall be moving at the end of February. We are not sure when our next sale will be. Could be quite awhile from now. So you better come out and load up on vinyl while you can.
